A conversation about getting ready to move
But really just a variation on the old conversation about what should and shouldn’t be kept for longer than one week.
Me: I guess we’ll have to start packing everything into boxes won’t we?
Edd: Yeah.
Me: I think I’ll start with my books.
Edd: Hmm, and we’ll have to get rid of some things too, like magazines.
Me: Really? What magazines do you plan to get rid of?
Edd: …
Me: Your surf magazines perhaps?
Edd: Well, I was thinking about your *cut off mid-sentence*
Me: Oh really? Well you get your dirty eyes off my magazines and worry about getting rid of things that BELONG TO YOU.
Edd: *Laughing guiltily*
Me: *Laughing but ready to fight for every precious page of all my carefully kept magazines if necessary*
Oh it’s all about compromise isn’t it?..hmmmm…maybe not. My “suggestions” for getting rid of stuff haven’t got me anywhere
*Giggle* I feel your pain Huffypeg… but I can’t bring myself to compromise over my books, magazines, and memorabilia, EVER.
I recognise this conversation!! My husband opens my post and then throws it over his shoulder, I do believe, while his letters he smooths flat and kisses and then places in a safe place like the middle of the kitchen table. Grrr. But what can you do??
Well, I decided to take my revenge by sharing it with everyone on my blog
