Chocolate and beetroot cake discussion

Edd: “It’s probably a good thing you couldn’t buy the creme de cassis… you would have used it once, and we wouldn’t drink it so, it would be wasted.”
Me: “But, I’m hoping the chocolate and beetroot cake wil be delicious, then I’ll make it again and get to keep using the creme de cassis… and then it won’t be wasted.”
Edd: “Yeah, but it’s a beetroot and chocolate cake, it’s not gonna be delicious. Maybe if you were gonna make a chocolate cake, or a chocolate and chocolate cake, or a chocolate and chocolate chip cake, or maybe a double chocolate cake…”
Me: …
We’ll help you finish the Crème de Cassis when we come over. Oh, and if there’s any chocolate and beetroot cake on the go I’d be a starter . . . .
If it turns out to be delicious I’ll make one especially for you. I can’t wait to see you both, it’s been ages!
